It's my anniversary this weekend so I'm reflecting on the MANY years Cliff and I have been married. Honestly, 27 years has flown by (for better or for worse), and I'm grateful for every minute of it. (Well, almost every minute of it. Cliff's untimely muscle tear the week before our wedding meant we had to postpone the honeymoon!)
I'm learning the hard way that puppies and gardens don't really mix. Not that I didn't have a sneaking suspicion before picking up this brown little bundle, it's just that when you know your home is about to be put on public display, you really want it to look its best.
More rain?!? Enough already. My new yard can't absorb much more. With news that the drought has officially been declared "over" due to the highest recorded rainfall in decades, it's comforting to know that we can run our sprinklers once again (although we may not need to for some time). Now can Governor Brown please let the clouds know? While I'm deeply grateful for the abundance of precipitation this year, can I just state for the record that I'm more than ready for a string of WARM, SUNNY DAYS!
My sister's daughters, Anna and Jessie, share nearly everything about their lives with their mother, via Instagram, Snapchat, FaceTime, texting, or an old- fashioned phone call home. My boys, Tristan and Case, on the other hand, remain resolutely silent . . . (maybe it's a chromosome thing).
